The Federal Network Agency (abbreviation "BNetzA’) regulates and ensures effective competition and non-discriminatory network access in the electricity, gas, telecommunications, postal and railway sectors. The task of the Federal Network Agency is to ensure compliance with the Telecommunications Act (TKG), the Postal Act (PostG) and the Energy Industry Act (EnWG). This includes monitoring the markets and setting or approving grid usage fees.
